There's a lot going on in the world right now, so it's only natural that you've got an awful lot on your mind. However, if you're like a lot of folks in the Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Pasadena, you're likely overdue for your springtime service visit. Fortunately, as a Annapolis, MD Mazda service center, we might just have some great springtime car care tips that you can take care of at home.

Springtime Car Care Tips

  • If you've still got your winter tires on, now is a great time to do so. We're not likely to see any more ice and snow in the Washington, DC area until next year, so you'll want to swap yours out for all-season tires to ensure you don't wear down the tread on your snow tires in the summer.
  • Inspect your tires! If you've just put your all-season tires on recently, make sure to check their tread wear and inflation. Check the side walls for any cracking rubber or tearing, and use a penny to check the treads. By inserting a penny into the well of the tread upside down, the tread should cover up the hairline of Abraham Lincoln to be safe.
  • Check your fluids! Everything from coolant to oil and windshield wiper fluid need to be checked at least once a month, if not more frequently. If you're low on any fluids, you'll want to get them topped off or flushed and replenished as soon as possible at our service center near Laurel, MD

Of course, these are just a few things you can do at home to care for your car this spring. However, for those who need Mazda maintenance help, we want to let you know that the Fitzgerald Mazda of Annapolis service center is still open and ready to serve you. Feel free to get in touch with us or check out our Mazda service specials to see how you can save on your springtime service needs.
